Forestique Peachtree Corners, GA Wood Veneer Bracelets

Henry Wischusen grew up on the rocky coast of New England surrounded by a great wood working tradition. In his youth, he made all kinds of things in wood, from tiny sculptures to boats.

Upon leaving the corporate world after 35 years of service, he returned to his passion of crafting things from wood but with a new sustainable perspective.

Working with delicate wood veneers, he is able to present all the beauty of the wood at the same time maintaining his reverence to the forest.

"All of my items are made using wood veneers. I use a variety of special laminating techniques that allow my items to be strong and yet remain flexible."

"Using thin wood veneers our items are both light weight and most important they are environmentally responsible because they show the real beauty of the wood, using the least amount of wood."

"I use no dyes or stains in my work. The colors of my pieces are the actual color of the wood enhanced by our hand rubbed finish of pure tung oil and carnuba wax."

All items are crafted in his studio in Peachtree Corners, GA, by Henry and the artisans that make up Forestique.

All of the crafting, finishing, and assembly is done by hand with the exception of the intricate cutting which is machine aided.
